Terms of use

The terms that apply when you use this website.

These terms apply when you use grahamkeene.com. The site is operated by Pencombe Associates Ltd. By using the site you agree to them.

Who we are

Pencombe Associates Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 05132289). The registered office is Melrose House, Pynes Hill, Rydon Lane, Exeter, Devon, EX2 5AX.

Graham Keene is a director of the company and the speaker this site is about. References to “we” and “us” mean the company.

Using this site

The site is a brochure and enquiry site. It tells you about Graham’s speaking, expeditions and the Graham Keene Foundation. It is not a shop, and it does not take payment.

There are no visitor accounts and no comments. Only administrators sign in to WordPress to edit the site.

We may change or withdraw pages, talks listed, or the whole site without notice. We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

Enquiries are not a booking

Sending a contact or speaking form is a request, not a confirmed booking. A booking exists only when we have agreed it with you in writing (for example by email), including the date, fee and any other terms that apply to that event.

Speaking fees from confirmed bookings go to the Graham Keene Foundation. The Foundation is not a party to these website terms.

Drop Your Dreams

If you submit a dream, you confirm that it is yours to share and that it does not identify someone else without their permission. If you tick the box to allow publication, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show that dream (and the country and timeframe you gave) on this site. You can ask us to take it down via the contact form.

We read every submission before anything is published. We may decline to publish a dream without giving a reason.

Intellectual property

The photographs, film, writing, talks and design on this site belong to us or to people who have licensed them to us. You may view them and share a link to a page. You may not copy the photographs or talks, scrape the site, or reuse the material for your own work without our written permission.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the site or the forms. That includes sending spam, trying to break in, overloading the site, or submitting content that is unlawful, hateful, or someone else’s without permission.

We may ignore or delete a submission that breaks these terms, and we may block access if we need to.

Other sites

Links to Instagram, YouTube or other sites are for convenience. Those sites have their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for them. YouTube videos on this site stay behind a gate until you accept marketing cookies and press play — see the cookie policy.

Privacy and cookies

How we use personal information is set out in the privacy policy. How we use cookies, including Google Analytics, is set out in the cookie policy.

Liability

The site is provided as it stands. Talks, stories and pages on it are for information and inspiration. They are not professional advice.

We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, or for loss that was not caused by our breach of these terms, except where the law does not allow us to limit liability (for example death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be on this page. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute about the site, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you may also bring a claim in your home courts.
